So with the primer my foundation definitely lasts longer and doesn’t crease in my smile lines which it usually does.

I think this one was slightly thinner than the more expensive Smashbox version, but I quite liked that as I don’t like to go too heavy on my face.

It can be used in many types of formulations as it has great thermal stability (can be heated up to 85°C) and works on a wide range of pH levels (ph 3-10).

Packed with botanical oils like sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, rosehip oil, pomegranate see oil and orange peel extract, plus vitamin E, the supermarket says it will leave you “smelling and feeling incredible”. Designed to detoxify and brighten your skin, the mask helps to draw out impurities and refine pores, and this time it’s back with a new formula that contains ingredients like Australian kakadu plum and witch hazel. The supermarket's Lacura Snapshot Ready Glow Primer is said to be an exact 'dupe' for the iconic Photo Finish Primer from Smashbox. The stickiness does dry after a couple of minutes so it doesn’t feel uncomfortable on the skin, providing a matte base ready for makeup application. Recently Aldi have been killing it in the game with their Lacura beauty range as they’ve came out with moisturizers, bronzers, primers, serums, masks etc.I’m not a big makeup person, so your mileage may vary with Aldi makeup, depending on how heavily you apply it.

What seems to be a true difference, though, is that the salt form is more stable, easier to formulate and cheaper so it pops up more often on the ingredient lists. Apart from leaving the skin soft and smooth (emollient), it's also used as a waterproofing agent in sunscreens or makeup products and as a shine enhancer in lip gloss formulas. I find it amusing the way that Lacura products are so obviously modelled on more expensive products. Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). In recent months, beauty products have become big business for Aldi as it’s launched an impressive range of affordable dupes that appear to have take inspiration from some of the biggest names in the business, including Liz Earle, Pixi and Smashbox.

The primer was quite thin, which I liked, but others might not feel it is thick enough or that it mattifies enough.
